Honoring Excellence in Education: Announcing the 2nd Edition of the Sosu Madina Best Teachers Award
The Sosu’s Best Teacher Award was established in 2020 to highlight and acknowledge the efforts of teachers and administrators working to improve the educational system in Madina Constituency. The inaugural version of the program, launched in 2021, provided a car to the winning teacher, deep freezers, cash, and other prizes to administrators and runners-up.
The second edition of Sosu’s Best Teacher Award, launched on November 18, 2023, will present 6 awards to 3 best teachers and 3 administrators, 2 long service awards for meritorious teachers, 2 recognition awards, 3 BECE Best Graduating Students (2023/24) and 5 WASSCE Best Graduating Students (2023/24) from every basic and secondary school in the Madina Constituency.
Slated for 1 p.m. at the House of Miracles Ministry, Madina, on August 31, 2024, the ceremony promises to be a memorable occasion that honors the dedication, hard work, and passion of our teachers.
The Sosu Madina Best Teachers Award is an initiative by Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, aimed at acknowledging the invaluable contributions of teachers who go above and beyond to educate, inspire, and shape the future of our children. These educators play a critical role in the development of our community, and this award is a small token of appreciation for their tireless efforts.
Why this Award matters
Speaking to the MP for Madina Constituency, he stated, “Education is the foundation of any society, and teachers are the pillars that support this foundation. Through their dedication and creativity, they shape the brains of the future generation, ensuring that our children have the information, skills, and values they need to succeed in life. The Sosu Madina Best Teachers Award aims to highlight the value of education and the critical role that teachers play in our community’s growth and development.
