HON. SOSU DONATES SUPPORT ITEMS TO SECURITY SERVICES IN MADINA

As part of his ongoing Account to the People Tour, the Member of Parliament for Madina, Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, has made a substantial contribution to strengthening security within the La-Nkwantanang Madina Municipality.

The donation includes 13 motorbikes, 40 streetlights, 200 packs of bottled water, and various other essential items, which are intended to support both the Police and Fire Services in enhancing peacekeeping efforts and emergency response.

In addition to the equipment, Hon Sosu allocated GHc50,000 and 100 bags of cement for the construction of a protective wall around police housing, and contributed GHc20,000 as seed funding for a borehole project initiated by the Fire Service.

The MP expressed his appreciation to the President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Interior, Hon Muntaka Mohammed, for their support in realizing this initiative. He also highlighted the contrast between the current administration’s commitment and the difficulties experienced under the previous administration in acquiring basic resources for the security services within Madina constituency.

Furthermore, in collaboration with the Municipal Director of the Youth Employment Agency, Mr. Wisdom Akorlor, Hon Sosu officially handed over 46 newly recruited assistants to the Police and Fire Services.

Leaders from both institutions conveyed their warmest gratitude for the MP’s ongoing support and commitment to retooling and improving safety and security in the constituency.
