MP for Madina Fulfills Promise: Donates 100 bags of Cement for Mosque Project
In fulfilment of a campaign promise during the 2020 elections, the Member of Parliament for Madina, Hon Francis Xavier Sosu on Friday, January 8, 2021, presented 100 bags of cement to the Madina Central Mosque.
The donation which was done after the Friday Jumah thanksgiving prayers, was to help the Muslims in the community to complete an ongoing expansion Mosque project.
Hon Sosu used the occasion to thank the Almighty Allah, the most merciful and gracious for the victory and a successful swearing-in last Thursday, as the elected Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency.

The donation was in fulfilment of promise the MP made when he visited the Mosque during the electioneering period for their support and prayers.
The Madina lawmaker expressed his gratitude to the constituents, especially the Muslims for given him the opportunity as their representative in parliament for the first time.
According to him, he remained indebted to the good people of Madina, especially the Chiefs, the religious leaders, opinion leaders, youth groups, women groups, and all trade associates who have reposed trust in him and voted massively for him at the last December 7, general elections.
He further expressed his immense gratefulness to God, Almighty his anchor, Constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), friends, and loyal supporters who so generously contributed their time and effort to his campaign during the December 2020 elections.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank you, the Imam and those in this Madina Central Mosque, who whole heartily honored me with their votes during the December 7, 2020, elections,” Hon Francis Sosu said as he donate the 100 bags of cement.
The Human Right lawyer cum politician added that he remained committed to the development of the people and look forward to work for them as their representative in parliament to make Madina a place where people of all ages could count on a future.

The donation was gladly received by the Chief Imam of the Madina Central Mosque, Sheik Abdullah Shuaik, on behalf of the Islamic community within the constituency.
The Chief Iman prayed for the MP for Allah to grant him wisdom and knowledge to lead his people with merciful heart and to bring much development to their door steps.
The Project Manager and General Secretary of Madina Chiefs, Alhaji Iddrisu Holison, later took Hon Sosu and some members of the NDC present to the project site for inspection to appreciate the level of work.
