Lawyer Sosu supports less privileged and vulnerable Muslims in Madina Constituency ahead of Ramadan

The Member of Parliament for the Madina Constituency, Lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu under his initiative dubbed Madina Islam Project and in collaboration with the Hudai Foundation, has donated food items which included bags of rice and gallons of oil.

The aim is to support the less privileged and vulnerable Muslims within the Madina Constituency prior to the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

The MP in his remarks quoted the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he said “The likeness of believers in regard to mutual love, mercy and kindness is that of one body, when any part aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever”.

The leader of the team for the foundation from Turkey, Mr. Mustafa Karadavut revealed that, the hard work of the MP for Madina attracted them to the initiative and therefore came on board to collaborate and lend their support to the less privileged with the food items within the Madina Constituency prior to the start of Ramadan.

Lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu further indicated that, the Madina Islam Project which will be launched soon is basically geared towards supporting the Muslim community within Madina with the project targeting the less endowed, mosque projects, Islamic schools with educational facilities, Hajj sponsorship, Ramadan outreach among others.

The beneficiaries of the items lauded the initiative and thanked the MP for steering such a noble cause. They also stated that, this is the first time they have received quality food items even prior to the start of the Ramadan which previously wasn’t the case.
